Pecha Kucha

Pecha Kucha is a presentation format originally devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein-Dytham Architecture. Think of it as presentation haiku--a highly structured environment for expressing ideas concisely and clearly.
Some of the ways pecha kucha could be used for learning:  For learning assessment, To support reflective practice, As a form of virtual teambuilding, For an online conference, To share conference learnings.

Here are some basic guidelines for delivery: Limit the introduction, Create an environment that's conducive to the format, Keep things moving, Consider having Q&A, Have fun.

definitions of words

Copyright: is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, giving the creator of an original work exclusive rights to it, usually for a limited time.

Copyleft: is a play on the word copyright to describe the practice of using copyright law to offer the right to distribute copies and modified versions of a work and requiring that the same rights be preserved in modified versions of the work.

Public Domain: states that it refers to works which are intangible to private ownership or are available for public use.

Creative Common:  Creative Commons licenses do not replace copyright, but are based upon it. They replace individual negotiations for specific rights between copyright owner (licensor) and licensee, which are necessary under an "all rights reserved" copyright management with a "some rights reserved" management employing standardized licenses for re-use cases where no commercial compensation is sought by the copyright owner.

midterm movie posters

This first movie poster is a remake of the The Avengers title cover. I used the same logo as the first cover page and the marvel and paramount pictures logo on the bottom. I tried to recreate the text from the first title cover, but the font and text was hard to recreate so I did a similar color blue as the blue in the Avengers logo and added a shadow or engraving with the font to make it pop. Also added a short underline under The Avengers just like the original.
This next movie poster is a creation I made about the class with everyone's name from class starring in the film. I used word art to create the text except the starring characters text. I used paramount pictures logo to make it seem like it was real. Used red, black, and white for the contrast to make it look better and catch people's eyes.

midterm business card, envelope, and letterhead

This is my business card midterm I had to do. I made the card look flashy but have some color in it to bring out  and make the viewer be interested. I choose red and black because they contrast each other and pop more together. I gave the boxes a light blue shadow to go with the blue in the picture I added to the business card as well.
This next midterm is my business envelope. I went with black and red again for the contrast. I choose to add boxes with shadows to give some design to the envelope and the boxes that are overlapped would not be on the envelope when printed.

This next midterm is my letter head. I went with black and red also to keep the color repeating for repetition. I put a watermark for my last name for the customer and put my information on the letterhead also.
